A colorful Christmas

Ok, I've been out of commission for the past few days, actually today is day 6.  Last Wednesday morning I was pulling our 21 pound turkey out of the refrigerator and I threw out my back!  I'm still not quit sure how I made it to the doctor since I couldn't sit or walk....funny how the body will push you through the pain.  After 4 days in bed, I made it to the couch yesterday, and to my craft room for about 30 minutes to cut supplies to assemble while resting in my recliner.  This year we have added another Christmas tree to our holiday decor and I wanted to go to the other end of the spectrum with  this tree.  My usual decor is earth-tones and primitive decor.....so the new tree is done in bright blues, purples, pinks and greens.  This will be our friend tree with coordinating paper and gift tags too.
I love these tags.  I used the "Perfect Fit-Frames" (D1527); smoothy, pansy purple, indian corn blue
and black ink for stamping.
The snowmen in the stamp set "Flakey Friends" (C1506) are so adorable and the perfect image for tags.  Simply stamp the image, then punch it out with a 1 1/2 circle punch.  Snowflakes are from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  Color the images with coordinating makers, add some liquid glass and glitz glitter glue and your done.
The next few images are from my stash of stamps and are not CTMH....and this snowflake is actually a
punch by Martha Stewart.
A few more closeup are below.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by....and stay inky my friends.

  2. So sorry that you've been in pain. Maybe next year you should do two 10 pound turkeys. ;) Seriously, I hope you are feeling better soon. However, I see that you MUST "create" through the pain. Love the tags...and yeah, the color scheme is unexpected...for you.
