I'm going virtual!!! Yep...that's right...after a few months of thinking about it....I've made the decision to go virtual! What does that mean to you...well...to offer more to more people! Each month I will showcase a fantastic project or two...and maybe three...which you can make at home. This month's kit will be a project I presented at Convention 2013 for Close to My Heart!
Back in April I had the honor of being selected to be a guest presenter
at Convention 2013 for Close To My Heart at the Coronado Springs Resort
at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and I was privileged to get a
sneak preview of the product lines coming out in August 2013. My
challenge for this presentation was to show how to use the new
accessories offered by CTMH. During Friday morning General Session I
presented this wall hanging display tray using only new accessories from
the upcoming Idea Book "Laughing Lola Complements Dimensional Elements", "Lagoon Washi Tape"
and "Aqua Dots".
Check back on Sunday....for all the details on how to make this project and how to get yours for a 50% savings!
This is my first post on the Frosted Designs Design Team. I'm so excited to be a part of this talented group, make sure you hop on over and check out all that talent.
Frosted Designs is the perfect team for me....why you ask? Well, they are all about designing with what you have and I like that....because I have a lot. I am new to papercrafting (a little over 3 years now) and when I started, like most of us I bought everything in sight...with so much pretty stuff out there its hard not to, right?
Now, I have a chance to use more of it.... more often :)
Now, let's get started.....This challenge is all about using Chevrons....wow....Chevrons....totally love them! Now, I like to think outside the box a bit, so I thought I would show how to use chevrons on a project in different ways....this post has a lot of pictures to look at, plus a bonus project and a video, so grab a cup of your favorite beverage and enjoy.
Here's my project.
The display tray is from Close To My Heart and I've been saving it since July, just waiting for the right moment to use it. My friend Kathi moved here from Tennessee in December and for this challenge I decided to use the tray as a gift for her daughter, Brandi. I'm an Independent Consultant for Close To My Heart and they introduced a new paper line this Spring/Summer Idea Book called "For Always" and it has a B&T paper of chevrons, how lucky!
Chevron #1: Used for a rosette.
Chevron #2: Used here on the banner
Chevron #3: Used here as an embellishment (hexagon)
Chevron #4: Used here as a background.

Here we are with Brandi proudly showing off her gift.
Green Embroidery Floss and a variety of white rub-ons
Other products used:
A variety of goodies received while on a Tim Holtz cruise in 2011, mini clear bottle, chunky silver glitter, SU green ribbon and SU stamp set.
I've also made a bonus project from Close To My Heart....it's a new line called "Canvas Art Kit" one of their home decor Workshops on the Go. Use the materials and instructions in this kit to create a 12" × 12"
canvas display, which has a chevron background. This kit comes with Dimensional Elements in two
different color schemes to create a look that is uniquely yours. This
workshop project is ideal for creating as a group or on your own and
takes approximately 1 hour to complete.

This kit is so awesome....it went together in about 40 minutes and its the perfect gift for my friend Rachel.
What a way to remember one of the most amazing days of my life....9.19.12, the day little miss Beth was born. Abigail was so fascinated, she wouldn't leave her new sister's side or stop looking at her. I wonder what was going through her mind that day?
How about this shot of Abby watching her baby sister through the nursery window.

Hello my blogging friends and welcome back to the SOTM Blog Hop....61 Consultants this month!
If you
are coming here from Gina Brandstetter Blog you're on the right path.....and if you get lost along the way, its easy to get back on track, just go to Helen Onulak's Blog for a full list of hoppers and here we go....
First, I have to say.....this stamp set really challenged me? I adore the set, but my creative mind was like what?...so much that I actually started the project 3 weeks ago and left it laying to the side in my craft room! Now, when I say I started it, all I really did was stamp the sentiments on white daisy cardstock.....ever been there?
Anywho.....this is what came up with YESTERDAY and finishing a few minutes ago! Literally, when I went to load my pictures and post, our home phone and internet was out????? I was on the phone for half an hour getting it fixed....thank you Brighthouse!!!
As I blabber on....I made Wine Tags....yep, we are always going to someone's house at least once a month and of course I take my favorite beverage, wine that is....so thought instead of a decorated wine bag, I'll make tags....4 to be exact.....they would be great for any occasion, but really awesome for a house warming gift.
Here is a view before they were placed on the bottles for the pics.
All four tags.
Tag #1
Tag #2

On the top of the tags I placed Grey Sparkle Badge Buttons on each corner.
