Happy Birthday Honey

This past Saturday, my wonderful husband, Todd turned 39......and I gave him the day off, hehehehe. But really, he is such a wonderful person, always going that extra mile to make things easier for us. I know that I joke alot with my girlfriends, but honestly he is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me in my life and I just wanted to tell everyone how much I love him.

Todd really enjoys Mexican food, so we went to a local restaurant for his FREE birthday dinner. Here is my honey making his secret Birthday wish. I wonder what it could be?

So Fun Sunday

Hi everyone, hope your weekend was great. I spent my weekend mostly inside, due to the wind and cold weather, which gave me some time to get caught up on my current projects.

January seems to be a busy month for Birthday Cards. All in all I have 6 friends and 2 family members with Birthdays this month. Here is a Birthday card I made for my friend DiAnn. This card is a form of a shadowbox card. I have seen several of these cards online and in magazines lately, so I went online to find the die and was shocked to find the price for the die was $165.00....WOW.... So out came the Spellbinders and my trusty ruler.

The left side of the card has a pull out tag (shown above).

Below is the center of the card.

And the right side of the card was used for my saying (shown below).

i hope you enjoy this card as much as I did making it.

Wings Workshop on the Go and Magic Layout

Wings Workshop on the Go.....I never really imagined taking a good picture could be so hard. Last night after finishing the Wings Workshop and Magic Layout (pages 116-119), I decided to take some pictures to share these amazing pages. Here are all four pages laid out on my dining room table. See the glare.....:`(

I went from room to room positioning these pages to get the best pictures. I hope you all enjoy them.

This is the first page of the workshop, I have added some stamped flowers to give it more color on the stamped sweetleaf paper.

On page 2 I added some My Stickease (Level 2) to the page. If you click on the picture you can see that I used the new mini mister on both pages. The mixture I thought was a little to watery and it came out more like "glimmer mist" than how it looked in the directions from the workshop. I will have to work on that recipe for future use.

Now, this is the first page from the Magic layout starting on page 116. I improvised with the level 2 wings paper to coordinate with my first 2 pages, adding this very cute ribbon flower which was distressed with Vineyard Berry ink.

Here is the final page of the layout. This layout is inside the protector giving it the glare, sorry. On this layout I created an accordion photo album which is adhered to my project. Very carefully I cut the protector so the album could be accessed. According to the Magic book you should place a hole at each corner of the space to be cut so the protector does not tear. Be very, very careful when doing this step. It's not hard, but it is challenging to beginners (like me). My measurements were a bit off, I think, because the square came out a little bigger than my album, about an 1/8of an inch on each side and you could see the paper behind the album, so I made this frame using my spellbinders. Liquid glass was used to adhere the frame to the outside of the layout, along with some black brads to keep it in place. The next picture is of the album open.

Happy Birthday Too You

Well its official, my little girl is one year old today. Hard to believe she has been a part of our life for the past year, well, 10 months of it. Here she is enjoying her B-day ice cream.

We wanted to get her an ice cream cake, but they didn't have any at Walmart, so ice cream cups it is. Here is her sister Reese joining in on the fun......

Jasmine, her big sister, says ooh, ooh, I want some too!!!!!

Now, we never let our puppies on our dinning room table, but tonight we gave in to get some pictures.

I think this picture says it all, YUMMY, YUMMY!!!!! We want more....Love the tongues...

Just look how much Kimber likes this birthday treat......

A Valentine Toast

I've been having fun with this Valentine's Day easel invitation. Todd and I will be celebrating our six year wedding anniversary this Valentine's Day and we've decided to have a cocktail Valentine's party with our closest friends to celebrate it with.

I love the black, red and white combo and the fun, fun papers I've picked up here and there.

How about this fun black ribbon I found at Violette's in Lakeland after Christmas, and this red ribbon is from Micheal's in their Christmas selection (70% off the other day!!).

Ooh, and look at this really neat rock crystal like glitter.......Wonderful for the salted rim of the champaign glass. Only 10 more to go......
