Wings Workshop on the Go and Magic Layout
Wings Workshop on the Go.....I never really imagined taking a good picture could be so hard. Last night after finishing the Wings Workshop and Magic Layout (pages 116-119), I decided to take some pictures to share these amazing pages. Here are all four pages laid out on my dining room table. See the glare.....:`(
I went from room to room positioning these pages to get the best pictures. I hope you all enjoy them.
This is the first page of the workshop, I have added some stamped flowers to give it more color on the stamped sweetleaf paper.
On page 2 I added some My Stickease (Level 2) to the page. If you click on the picture you can see that I used the new mini mister on both pages. The mixture I thought was a little to watery and it came out more like "glimmer mist" than how it looked in the directions from the workshop. I will have to work on that recipe for future use.
Now, this is the first page from the Magic layout starting on page 116. I improvised with the level 2 wings paper to coordinate with my first 2 pages, adding this very cute ribbon flower which was distressed with Vineyard Berry ink.
Here is the final page of the layout. This layout is inside the protector giving it the glare, sorry. On this layout I created an accordion photo album which is adhered to my project. Very carefully I cut the protector so the album could be accessed. According to the Magic book you should place a hole at each corner of the space to be cut so the protector does not tear. Be very, very careful when doing this step. It's not hard, but it is challenging to beginners (like me). My measurements were a bit off, I think, because the square came out a little bigger than my album, about an 1/8of an inch on each side and you could see the paper behind the album, so I made this frame using my spellbinders. Liquid glass was used to adhere the frame to the outside of the layout, along with some black brads to keep it in place. The next picture is of the album open.

I had a great time at the scrapbook class. Can't wait until next month when we do the Sophia paper. Love Love that paper.
ReplyDeleteThanks DiAnn....You're a GREAT friend for standing by me during my transition from card making to scrapbooking. I can't wait until I can actually get the Magic Club off the ground. Hopefully seeing the pages on the blog will stir up some interest. And see how easy it is to do, even for me a beginner scrapbooker.....I really enjoyed making all the layouts, especially the Magic ones. Oh, and thanks for the stamped flowers and ribbon, too.
ReplyDeletevery pretty :)
