October SOTM Blog Hop

Hi everyone....so happy you could stopped by to see October 2012 SOTM "Very Merry Christmas". If you are coming here from Maria Meyers Blog you're on the right path.....and if you get lost along the way go to Helen Onulak's Blog for a full list of hoppers. We have an amazing group of 65 Consultant's participating this month!
Luv, luv, luv this stamp set....you can do so much with it.  I decided to do a holiday card and tag holder.

First I found this amazing jewelry holder at TJ Max....on clearance for $2....well it was broken in two places so I asked if I could have it for 50 cents and they said yes!
I covered the tray with Pear & Partridge Paper and mod podge along with some canvas striped tape until it was good and sturdy.

This kit comes with 5 greeting cards, 20 gift tags, 10 mini-gift cards and 3 candies wrapped and stamped.

Both tags are made in an alternating color scheme (red & green).

The box came with this really awesome plate on the front, so my husband carefully removed it for me and I placed it back on the front in the center of the drawer.

Ever made something, and then not totally liked it?  Well, that happens to me a lot.  I originally designed this project as a basic box....then I thought I'd make it a drawer that pulls out wrapping it all up like a Christmas present.....then I decided to make the top clear when the box was placed inside of the drawer.....oh my...how hard is it to fix something once you pretty much have it done?????  Once I decided to cut the top of the drawer away, that's when it all happened...pencil marks, etc, so I had to add a bit of bling to the top.  Bling makes everything ok.

Now "Hop" on over to Krista Hershberger's Blog and see her amazing work!
Thanks for stopping by :) and...stay inking my friends.

Christmas Advent Calendar Kit Now Available

That's right Christmas Advent Calendars are now available......I know I stepped outside of the box with my usual product line of strictly CTMH, but I couldn't resist, I have used the CTMH "My Creations Cubby" Z1804 for the base of this project and the newest Cricut cartridge exclusive to CTMH the "Artiste Collection" Z1790 .....along with CTMh "Kraft Cardstock" Z1375 for the boxes.....and the rest I have to say is an assortment of papers from other companies...
I'm a paper hoarder.....I luv paper, no matter who makes it, the only bad thing is I never get a chance to use it, and I decided to use these products for my upcoming Advent workshop on November 16, 2012 at 6:00 p.m.

Some Halloween Favorites

From this post you will find that my favorite holiday is Halloween....and each year my collection grows and grows.  Here are some of my favorites.
First and my most precious is my vintage Halloween collection I picked up in Bell Buckle, Tennessee at the Cat's Meow....love this store.....
Next is my Halloween Tree, with a few vintage Halloween blown glass ornaments.
My candy jars are so cute and this little musical monster my mommy picked up for me.  He sings the Monster Mash song.....too cute!
Oh, and this amazing owl I picked up at Cracker Barrel this year, I love him dearly.
And this Wicked wall hanging my Cards Plus club made last year.
How about this candle I made with the Wicked stamp set from CTMH.
Here's another pic of my owl.
 Then this Wicked wall banner.
I love how the embossing came out on this project.

How about these really cute tags.  I put them on wine bottles for parties.

Then, last year I made these really amazing Halloween boxes.  This box is a vintage Halloween theme.

And this one is a traditional theme.  The little pumpkins even light up :)   Too Cool!
 This skeleton is creepy....
 Close up.....
and another close up.....
Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoyed this blog...check back soon for more Halloween decor and cards.

What did you do this weekend?

Hi everyone....I can't believe it is Sunday night already.  I'm finally getting time to catch up on my blog and to update my class calendar.  As I sit here I wonder where did the time go?  Then I realized it was a busy weekend for sure....and I thought I'd share it with you.....
On Friday.....I attended a POW Memorial Service.
Later that evening I worked on this Bumble Bee sign for the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Special Project.  This year's project is breast cancer.  The Ladies Auxiliary will take this sign and 9 more to District to support this year's cause.
Next I made 22 of 150 3.25 inch bumble bees which we will sell to raise money for the breast cancer project.
Saturday was the best day of the weekend.  Me and my hubby got to spend some time with Beth....She's so tiny, I've never held a baby that little before, its pretty intense.
Isn't she adorable.....4 days old, and let me tell you, she stole my heart in the first minutes of her life on Wednesday.
And on Sunday we went to a surprise birthday party for a dear friend from high school.  Her 40th!!!
This wrapping paper is fabulous!  I quickly put together the gift tag right before we left for the party.
Oh, I almost forgot....on Saturday I started working on some Halloween themed items for my Card's Plus class for October.  Earlier that morning we went to the Avenues.....and I found these really cute candy tins and mini bottles of wine at World Market and I couldn't resist.

I have never really realize just how much of my life revolves around paper crafting until this evening.  It is truly a passion that I love and that I love to share.  I also got in one more project, but I can't share it today....a hint:  its for the SOTM blog hop on October 1st.
Have a great week.  Check back tomorrow to see some more Halloween goodies I put together last year that I have displayed around my home and some new ones that will be displayed later this week.
