September SOTM Blog Hop "Fall Favorites"

So sorry for the delay, I'm out of town and got my days mixed up.  Thank you Tamytha Jenkins for the text, even though I have no cell service here....I received it this morning when I went to town.  Anyhoo, this month's featured stamp set is "Fall Favorites" S1209. If you are coming here from Sheila Bennett's Blog you're on the right path.....and if you get lost along the way go to Helen Onulak's Blog for a full list of hoppers.
This is what I came up with, an adorable easel fall decor piece.  For a tutorial please review below...or you can hop on over to Dawn Ross' Blog here or at the end of my post.

I started with a easel I found at the $1 store, it measures 5x5 and I covered it with Clementine Paper Packet X7156B using Mod Podge Antique for a fabulous finish.
Next I paper pieced the scarecrow with a variety of paper pieces I had in my stash.
I used the new Burlap Ribbon Z1760 for his hands, feet and patchwork on his overalls. I colored the flowers and pumpkins with the NEW alcohol based markers, adding Almond Glitz Glitter Gel Z1769.  Once dry I applied a thin coat of Mod Podge Antique to the entire piece.
For the corn stalks I used the stamp set "Abundance" D1519, stalks are stamped with the NEW Saddle ink Z2171 and colored with buttercup ink Z2110.
You can see the difference the mod podge antique makes on the paper color.
I popped up the scarecrow
and added some ribbon behind him wrapping it completely around the project.
Love how this bow turned out :)
Next I stamped the phrase corn maze and added it to the bow.
And here is the final project.  Now "Hop" on over to Dawn Ross' Blog and see her work!
Thanks for stopping by :)
