Frosted Designer Decor Operation Smile Donation

So before I start...I just wanted to say...I wish I had taken better pictures....Ugh...
This is the Holiday Event Calendar I did as part of my presentation and donation for Operation Smile :)  I used the new Designed Decor Black Frame.
This frame measures 13.5 x 12 inches and it comes with five clothesline wires for hanging all sorts of goodies.  I didn't want to do a regular advent calendar so I came up with an event calendar.  Each day in December, you remove one of the tags and a fun winter themed event is there for you to do.  For instance....under December 1...it might read make snow angels...etc.  This was such a fun project to make!
I used the Cricut Artiste Cartridge and cut the card on page 58 of the booklet at 3 inches to make the tags.  Since I needed 24 of them...they wouldn't fit on the frame as it comes...so I removed all of the wires, measured them to fit 4 rows, leaving an extra wire when done.  Then the new hook clips...come with hooks...imagine that!  Well the 24 pieces wouldn't fit in the frame with the hooks....so I removed the hooks very carefully with pliers. Then...they fit right on the wires perfectly :)
The tags were made with the new "Frosted Paper Packet"...I luv this paper...it's perfect for some many different occasions!
I decorated each tag with bling, bake's twine, glitz glitter gel, silver and bronze shimmer trim, and buttons...and don't forget the new scallop punch.
The dates are cut with the Circuit Art Philosophy Cartridge.
I'm so happy this calendar found a happy home for a wonderful donation of $325.00! Wow...wow...wow is all I can say to my wonderfully generous sister consultants!  Thanks again for all your generosity!

  2. BEAUTIFUL! I love what you did with the frame, the paper, everything:) How are the wires attached on the back of the frame? How hard was it to adjust them? Thanks in advance for the info.

    1. Julie..they are attached with very small screws and come out and back in very easily. No extra tools needed, just a small screwdriver :)

  3. So beautiful! The picture I saw of this frame didn't come with hooks, it said mini clothes pins and hooks sold separately. Anyway, as usual your project is OVER THE TOP!!!

    1. Hi Karen...the frame and hooks are separate, unless you purchased a bundle at Convention, then I believe the bundle came with the frame and clothes pins. I'm glad you enjoyed the project. Can't wait to make another one soon.
