Halloween Star

Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year, mostly because I like the vintage feel of orange and black.  Using the new dimensional star from CTMH and the exclusive paper packet from the Halloween Workshop on the Go and the new Artiste Cricut Cartridge, all of which are available right here on my blog, I made this beautiful wall hanging to add to my collection of vintage Halloween decor.

The boo, spooky, cat and spiders were cut using the Artiste cartridge with black glitter paper and the witch and bats were cut using one of Tim Holtz dies with a patterned glitter paper. The ribbon used is the new black tulle from CTMH.

Christmas Advent Calendar Kit Now Available

That's right Christmas Advent Calendars are now available......I know I stepped outside of the box with my usual product line of strictly CTMH, but I couldn't resist, I have used the CTMH "My Creations Cubby" Z1804 for the base of this project and the newest Cricut cartridge exclusive to CTMH the "Artiste Collection" Z1790 .....along with CTMh "Kraft Cardstock" Z1375 for the boxes.....and the rest I have to say is an assortment of papers from other companies...  

I'm a paper hoarder.....I luv paper, no matter who makes it, the only bad thing is I never get a chance to use it, and I decided to use these products for my upcoming Advent workshop on November 16, 2012 at 6:00 p.m.

Back to Living

Well I'm back to living after being bed ridden for five days last week.....I can't remember the last time I was so sick....and I've never had vertigo in my life and I honestly hope to never have it again!  Labor Day weekend we went to Georgia to visit with family and when I get around my nieces and nephews I go hog wild crazy, like a 42 year kid I am.  Doing back flips and front flips into the pool I go.....when I got home on Monday I was good, but by Tuesday at lunch time I was done!  Down and out with a sever sinus infection.....after days of being sick I was finally able to get out of bed on Sunday, just in time for my card class that afternoon, and off to my room I go to make the altered project for my class.  You know I must of been sick not to have been in my craft room for 5 days! 

 This is what I came up with, an adorable treat box.  I'm Nuts About You.

 This project was made with the Flirty Paper Packet by CTMH (X7160B) and the Cricut Artiste Cartridge by CTMH and can you believe there is no stamping?

 Not having a stamp for the sentiment, I used my computer with the CTMH Font CD.

Key used on the Cricut Artiest Cartridge is the 3D Object on the Be Mine Key.  After cutting the treat box I positioned the cutting blade at 3 7/16 and 4 3/4 and made this my center point, then cutting Accent shift 1 at 5 inches to create the window in the treatbox.

Leaf images were cut with the Cricut Artiste Thanksgiving Key in various sizes using the 3D shift key and the Accent 2 shift key.

Fall Card Workshop Sneak Peek #2

Today me and the hubby had planned to go to the beach, but mother nature had different plans......clouds and a drizzling rain :(   And off to my craft room I go, my fall workshop is coming up soon and I needed one more project for the class.  Each person will make five cards, five times, so they end up with 25 cards for just $25.  WOW!!!! I know its a great deal......so while I was sitting in my room thinking of a project, i started playing with the NEW CTMH Cricut Atriste cartridge and decided to make this cute file folder and five card set for this workshop.....File folder was cut at 5 inches.

 This project is a bit different in that each card has a different sentiment with Casual Expressions stamp set D1525.....while the design is the same utilizing the Clementine paper packet X7156B.

 How fun is this set? 

Now, if you have ever wondered what my room looks like when I create, well I'm a creative slob, a great big mess......funny how I am the most organized, neat, "   " retentive person I know, but when I'm in my little spot of heaven I TOTALLY  let go......and the natural mess in me comes out, LOL.....So to let you  into a small part of my world, here is a super quick video of my mess after creating and cutting for this workshop.......NOW its time to clean my room :)
